Loads of Strings and Bling - ABAC Challenge

Neccessity is the mother of invention so they say.
That was certainly how my String Bling came about.

I was going out to a function and I knew that some of the ladies are serious wearers of
the Real Deal Bling.
Hey!
I'm a crafter - a new paintbrush excites me.
But I wanted to jazz up what I planned to wear.
So...

I took a bunch of fibres ( not too hot, it's a LONG summer here)

Then I mindlessly (this is a late night project)
Spoke nicely to my sewing machine and stitched some strings.

I dragged out beads ( they breed in the cupboard I'm sure)
and I grabbed a little contemplation time here and there
and Stitched.

A tip - only stitch short sections of beads.
That way if you snag your wearable it won't fly to pieces.

Stitching is a contemplative thing for me.
It was surprising how quickly it came together.

There was even a little bit left over to make a twisty bracelet.
I enjoyed the play so much I have made a couple more in different styles and colours.

Anything But a Card Challenge!  Challenge 11 asks you to incorporate things that can be tied: twine, ribbon, thread, wire, rope, cording, trim, chain, seam binding, etc!  You don't have to really tie it, but you get the idea!

I Love seeing what you make so don't forget to join in this knotty challenge.
Julie
PS I broke out in a new stamp to celebrate :)

Wow Julie, you sat and stitched all those beads on after stitching all those lengths! That is what I call dedication to a task - I hope the other ladies at the event were suitably impressed! Amazing job..... and hope we see the results of breaking out the new stamp. Hugs, Anne x

Now, this is my kind of jewelry! I love the mixture of gorgeous fibers and the beads! I think you need to sell these (if they don't drive you too crazy to make them...)!!
