Questions and some answers!

What makes an idea jump into my head and stay there long enough to be acted upon?
Sometimes it's a photo - as it was in this case. An old and faded photo of my boys playing with a VERY large toy out at Wellington on Tom's wheat and cattle property.

Why do I choose the elements I do to make my art piece? For this second section of my four part recycled book it was to use something old - alcohol inks and foil tape, washi, ancient alphabets and lovely little metal sprockets.
The new is Viva Decor Glitter Paste and glittery it certainly is, oh and that gorgeous Tim Holtz embossing folder has been sitting, patiently waiting, to be unwrapped.

Is it for any challenges? I enjoy being stetched by challenges when I have the time.
This is for Sunday Stamper where I am zooming in, just in time. Love that the challenge is Man of the World (the two in the photo are so my world) This is  also for the Metalology Challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show - sprockets and washers and Vintaj too!

What motivates me?
There is always an itch to create and that is in an ecclectic range of pursuits.- except cooking :)
However since I have become a fully fledged member of the Blogosphere my enthusiasm, inspiration and
joy to peek into the art of so many talented artists keeps me bubbling with delight.
I was humbled when Buttons aka Jenny from Pushing the Right Buttons and she always does, sent this my way.

What it all about?
This award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion. Once you've been nominated you award it to blogs that you like that have fewer than 200 followers to encourage new visitors to visit these new blogs.
Rules for Acceptance - Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog. Post the award onto your blog. Give the award to 5 bloggers who you appreciate that have fewer than 200 followers. Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them this awesome award.
Thank You Jenny - I am always intrigued when I visit you - You are the queen of collage!

Where to send it now?
To Tracy  at  Queenies Scrap Mad Blogspot
for off the page goodies and a dose of Scottish humour

To Anne at Redanne
who experiments with so much that's new and always leaves such encouragement even if my credit card takes a hammering after visiting.
To Mary Kate at Emkay Designs
who has such a fresh and modern take to her art
To Barbara over at Barbara's Craft Room
A girl after my heart with "Ooh, I can make something out of that!"
To Miek at MIEKske
for the wonderful experimentation that she shares so generously with the world.

And what am I up to today?

Preparing a "For Sale" ad for a property with brand new pools and water views that now surround us.
Ha ha! It will take more than two cyclones in a month to get Super Star and I packing.
Enjoy - whatever you are up to
Julie

The award is so well deserved as this wonderful hanging demonstrates Julie. It takes loads of looks to spot every element which makes it even more intriquing. Hugs to you and yours as you battle the weather. Jenny x

Goodness Julie, you really have had your fair share (plus more) of weather this year, hope it abates soon. Your hanging is beautiful with your two superstars on and your wonderful embellishments, I really love your style and wish I could emulate it!

You are truly kind to nominate me (even if I do cost you money!) and it warms my heart. I was nominated a couple of times when I first started out blogging a year ago, so it would be nice to let someone who has not yet received it have the chance, but I really appreciate your thoughtfulness! Hugs, Anne x

Congrats on your award Julie. I love your post today reading about the what and the why and admiring your water views. The Glitter Paste sounds and looks fabulous. We certainly have had our fair share of rain, I think a new pair of wellington boots is fast moving its way to the top of my wish list. xx

Thank you so much for the award Julie, I have taken so long to comment as I have been mulling over what to do. I have very limited time as I am still working in several places so will have to see if I can pass this award on as requested, but I stress I am very honoured that you thought of me so will try this weekend. Bless you and an important last comment, I love your work it is inspiring! Xx
